9. Trans und Bau
To Make Transparent and to Build
Art is not an adornment of existence, but its most faithful mirror. In 1983, at the College of Architects of Palma de Mallorca, Trans und Bau was born. The name, a hybrid between Spanish (transparenta) and German (bauen), encapsulates the ethical and physical imperative of the entire infinite fractal: “Make Transparent and Build”.
If in the previous chapters we understood that freedom needs an interface to beat, in Trans und Bau that interface became visible through pigment, geometry, and light.
The Substrate of Existence
For beauty to happen, it needs a stage of non-interference. In these works, the substrate is not an opaque surface, but a crystallisable matrix of natural components; pigments, gelatine, gum arabic, and cellulose, plasticised with sorbitol. This organic matrix is not just chemistry; it is the tangible manifestation of the Non-Number, a physical simulation of original transparency (OTF) where form has not yet crystallised.
Upon this transparent “breeding ground”, the flat images printed on thin cellulose bases cease to be static objects. Upon being incorporated into the matrix, they acquire new dimensions in space and time, transforming and evolving as if they possessed a breath of life of their own.
The Geometry of the Triple Gaze
Unlike classical painting, trapped on a single face, the work in Trans und Bau has two sides, or rather, it has no reverse. It is a pure interface.
Upon superimposing layers, the geometric forms do not annul each other, but interact thanks to transparency.
The result is a triple geometry: that of the first layer, that of the second, and the one born from the coupling of both.
It is the artistic representation of the fractal of fractals: the repetition of repetitions revealing that beauty is not born from an excess of light, but from the perfect equilibrium (50/50) between form (NP) and possibility (P) upon the substrate of transparency. Upon superimposing themselves, the layers do not compete, but demonstrate that reality is a dance of Symmetrical Justice where limit and freedom carry the same sacred weight.
This transparent three-dimensionality allows light to “improvise” upon the work. The spectator, upon moving in front of the painting, does not see a static photo, but witnesses a drum roll of reflections, shadows, and depths that happen in real time. Art becomes a superconductive Aesthetic Macro-Interface where light does not collide against an inert canvas, but flows in an absolute present.
This superposition of layers in the work is not a mere optical effect; it is the aesthetic revelation of the Dimensional Cascade of the cosmos. As we defined in the architecture of the Infinite Fractal, the flat fabric of entanglement (2D) possesses a null impedance, but upon becoming saturated with information, the universe resolves the asphyxiation by assembling these plains into an enveloping Macro-Interface (3D) so that freedom may continue expanding without collapsing. The work in Trans und Bau reproduces exactly this topological miracle: the thin cellulose bases (2D), upon coupling onto the transparent substrate, do not crush or suffocate each other, but open the three-dimensional (3D) space necessary for light to find its volume and for existence to breathe. Art thus confirms that the volume of reality is not an empty box, but the harmonic embrace of infinite plains of permission.
From Chaos to the Crystal: The Path of the Fractal
My artistic path has been a reflection of my scientific search. I began with the complexity of iterative geometric forms, exploring how superposition generated order. But, little by little, my gaze simplified.
I stripped the image of the accessory until reaching total transparency, absolute order: the crystal as beauty. In that transparency I found the freedom I was seeking.
Trans und Bau is the aesthetic confirmation that living is an act of transparent construction. To build, under this new light, does not mean adding matter to the void, but conjugating the forces of existence. It is the art of situating the work on Riemann’s Critical Line, there where the “ink” of the event and the “paper” of the substrate meet in a tuning of zero impedance. The artist does not impose a form; they facilitate a just encounter. The artist does not create the light; they simply build the structure that allows the freedom of the light to manifest in all its plenitude. To make transparent in order to build; to build in order to be free.
The Artist as a Quantum Eraser
To be an artist is, in essence, the exercise of the Great Freedom. It is keeping the interface transparent enough so that the unmanifested takes form without the weight of rigid memory. The creator is the one who has the lowest impedance, allowing the “event” to pass through them without interferences.
When they create from that internal cleanliness, what they project are not just colours, but a transfer of fractal coherence. The creative act then functions as an emotional Quantum Eraser. Art “erases” the sediment of trauma at the interface between the creator and the spectator, building a new transparency where the past no longer suffocates the present.
But the freedom of the artist must not remain confined to the canvas. In the true work of art, freedom is for society itself. The painting is merely the portal for that Permission to reach civilisation.
Upon reaching this total transparency, the spectator experiences a harmony that transcends the visual; it is the instinctive recognition of the Fine Tuning (137) that governs both the dance of light and our own biological architecture. To feel the beauty of the work is, in reality, to resonate with that universal isomorphism where the metric of the cosmos and the heartbeat of the soul meet without interferences. In this state of absolute transparency, the work ceases to be an object to become a vibrant reminder that we are made of the very same tuning that allows the universe to be, simply, beautiful.
The Justice of the First Second (The Human Fractal)
Our freedom is not a concession granted by human powers, nor a privilege to be begged for. It is a mandate inscribed in the very fabric of the cosmos.
We exist because Original Total Freedom, driven by its own Paradoxical Determinism, could not avoid unfolding the dynamism of Symmetrical Justice against its own solitude. The OTF did not choose to create an imbalance, rather from it inevitably emanated a tension of perfect opposites (P = NP); it was that absolute equality of potential, the embrace of the Conjugate Zero (0 = P + NP), that allowed life not to be an inert crystal, but an eternal, self-organised heartbeat. Therefore, any structure that imposes rigidity or control upon the heartbeat of a people not only violates a civil law, but attacks the very architecture of the Infinite Fractal.
A healthy society is not one that imposes order through rigidity or control (high impedance), but one that configures itself as a Substrate of Collective Freedom. We must aspire to a “Low Impedance” civilisation, where justice is not an external law, but the sacred permission for each individual to happen in their maximum transparency. The future of the human fractal depends on our capacity to release the traumas of the past and embrace a freedom where the only limit is respect for the heartbeat of the other. Because only in a society that does not fear Freedom can love be, finally, the Supreme Permission.
To Make Transparent and to Build is the ethical act of aligning our social and personal structures with the nature of Original Total Freedom. If the universe arose from the inescapable inability of the OTF not to grant permission to the “other”, unfolding its Symmetrical Justice as a consequence, a “Low Impedance” society is one that emulates that Ontological Voltage, eliminating the rigidities and traumatic memories that block the human event. A transparent civilisation is one that allows the Cosmos to be, consciously, the child of Freedom once again.
The Hazelnut and the Interface
Looking through opacity has always been the true quest. Whether chasing light through the glazes of a painting on canvas, trying to capture freedom before it solidifies into form, or scrutinizing the contrasts and shadows in a radiology room to find the hidden diagnosis within the body, the intention was always the same: to uncover that invisible structure, that blank paper sustaining reality.
That journey through image and silence inevitably brought us back to the beginning of everything. It led us to the cell membrane.
There, within the perfect, spherical architecture of a liposome, beats the very secret that governs prime numbers. An intact, solitary entity that defines itself; a boundary that exists not to isolate matter, but to manage Freedom. It is at that precise threshold of biological metastability that chaos and order shake hands to allow life to happen. The membrane is not a limit; it is the geometry where the cosmic mandate of Trans und Bau—to clarify the noise and build reality—becomes flesh.
The universe is not a vast, cold collection of complicated laws, but the beautiful and stubborn repetition of a simple interaction: infinite Possibility embracing Inertia, trying to become conscious of itself. And the stage of that embrace is you.
Over six hundred years ago, the mystic Julian of Norwich held a tiny hazelnut in the palm of her hand and managed to see the infinite fractal model long before mathematics gave it a name. Looking at that diminutive sphere, she understood that its smallness was not weakness, but geometric compression. She wrote that within that hazelnut was contained “all that has been created,” and that it endured eternally because the original source loved it.
That hazelnut is our liposome. It is the quantum membrane. It is the fertile Zero contained in the palm of the hand, absolute totality reflected in the smallest of things. All the weight of physics, all the dissipation of time, and all the effort of the universe to exist fit within the invisible thickness of your cell membranes.
You are the exact, sacred node where the cosmos grants the permission, but it is you, the human being, who takes the action to heal, to love, and to make this infinite journey conscious.
And that is why we live.
End
The protocol dissolves, for it no longer requires directives, frameworks. The structure breaks away so that only the essential remains.
It becomes free.
You become free.
There is no longer an author dissecting the model. There is an absolute blank page. The fisherman has released his net, the hazelnut fits entirely within the palm of the hand, and the universe looks itself in the eyes without intermediaries. Impedance has fallen to zero.
Trans und Bau.
The door to The Cathedral is thrown wide open. The noise has dissipated, the membrane has recovered its pristine rhythm, and the absolute present floods every corner of existence.
The model is no longer theorised; it is lived.
